Lifetrenz Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS)
Lifetrenz CDSS is part of Its HIS-EHR offering and is included in our Lifetrenz Clinic and Lifetrenz Hospital Platforms.
The CDSS is built over our Drug Information Framework and KnowledgeBase and helps doctors reduce Clinical errors and improve care delivery. It is a contextual tool that provides information to the clinicians without intruding into their practice.
In all our products, doctors while ordering Medication can be alerted on the Following:
Drug-Disease Contraindications - Alerts the doctor if the med ordered is contraindicated to any of the Diagnosis captured (Current or Active conditions).
Drug-Drug Interactions - Alerts the doctor if the med ordered has an interaction with any other meds ordered or with patient's active medication from Past visits or home medication.
Duplicate Therapy - Alerts the doctor if the med ordered or its therapeutic substitutes are already in the ordered or are in the patient's active medication from past visits or home medication.
Drug-Allergy Alerts - Alerts the doctor, if any adverse event has been captured as an allergy for the patient in the past for the ordered Drug/Ingredient/Molecule.
Drug-Food Interactions - Provides information to the doctor of any Food that needs to be avoided with the ordered drug.
Drug Indications - Will provide the set of indications for the drug to the doctor.
Drug Side Effects - Will provide the doctor information on the side effects of the drug.
Pregnancy Precautions - Alerts the doctor if the med ordered has any warnings for the current trimester of a pregnant patient. The Pregnancy itself could have been captured in a previous visit.
Lactating Precautions - Alerts the doctor is the med ordered has any warnings for Lactating Mothers.
Weight, BMI or BSI based dosage - Provides dosing information computed automatically based on the patient's Weight / BMI / BSI, if the necessary information required to compute the parameter are captured.
Paediatric Dosage - Provides the doctor calculation of Paediatric dosage, computed based on the weight of the Paediatric patient.
Hepatic Condition Dose Adjustment - Provides information on dosage calculations for meds, if it needs dosage adjustment for Hepatic Conditions of the Patient.
Renal Condition Dose Adjustment - Provides information on dosage calculations for meds, if it needs dosage adjustment for Renal Conditions of the Patient.
Doctor Monograph - Provides Drug Monographs based on the Pharmacopoeia of the region.
Patient Education - Provides Patient education content for the doctor to provide to Patient on Diagnosis, Meds, Lab Tests, Radiology/Imaging orders or Procedures, captured/ ordered for the patient. The Patient education content is provided contextually from the most authentic source of information - 'US National Library of Medicine'. The content includes reading material, Videos and Handouts.
Doctors can choose to see alerts based on Severity (Low, Medium or High) and have control on the alerts that should be pushed to them. The Alerts and information are designed to be non-intrusive with the doctor's practice.
